I've Been Busy

Meh. I haven't been on lately, as work has been consuming my life. I don't even have time to come home and read the daily Oppo. Definately time for a new job.

I've been working 50+ hours a week, which isn't that terribly bad, but then they want Saturdays too (usually notified when I show up on Friday), holidays (Thanksgiving—had Wednesday and Thursday night off, was told we were having 5-day weekends, then they wanted select people in Friday and Saturday. I worked Friday.), and now they're talking more like 72 hours this week.

When I was single, whatever. But I have two children now, one 7 months old, the other 5. I have no life. I don't know when I got to really work on the Seven last.

All of this for 15 bucks an hour. Something tells me I'm getting screwed (most of the other machinists here make over 20 an hour). Even moreso, if I can't make ends meet working 50+ hours a week, how the hell would I make it with 40?

I'm going to wait out Christmas and the New Year, then I have my eye on another place. We shall see. Until then, I'll try to pop in once in a while. It sucks, as Oppo is usually the highlight of my day.

That sucks. I'm assuming you're getting overtime pay? Here are some of the recent gifs you may have missed which made me laugh hysterically.
